Love for both mother and unborn child that can’t be faked, because it comes from the heart

By Dave Andrusko

Back in 2015, pro-abortion President Barack Obama offered a brief statement which included the usual boilerplate platitudes summarized by this sentence: “The federal government should not be injecting itself into decisions best made between women, their families, and their doctors.”

But that was then, and this is now.  Pro-abortionists are eager to pass legislation in Congress that would wipe out all legal protection for unborn children.

All.

Pro-lifers often say, “When you think Planned Parenthood, think abortion.” You can add to that, “When you think of Joe Biden do not mistake him for a ‘moderate democrat’ or someone who has mixed feelings on abortion. He has assumed a position of a commander in chief of the pro-abortion army.

Back to January 22, 1973, the Supreme Court handed down Roe v. Wade–that “exercise in raw judicial power,” quoting the dissent of Justice Byron White. The late author and columnist Charles Krauthammer, in another context, talked about what happens when an “undebated, unlegislated, unvoted, unnegotiated revolution” is foisted on the American public by activist courts.

That is exactly what the Supreme Court did in 1973 when, like a cockeyed jeweler, it held a few “penumbras” “emanations” and “zones of privacy” up to the light and, voila, discovered a “right” to abortion hidden away among the carats.

I once reviewed a book by author and journalist (and now Professor) Cynthia Gorney. She was simply stating the obvious when she described the Supreme Court as “the 800 pound gorilla – – it sits where it wants, it does what it wants.”

Untethered by a respect for the Constitution, the fetid writings of justices such as Justice Blackmun were a breeding ground for lethal mischief.

But as my old pastor used to say about counterfeits, you don’t have to know all the ways something can be faked. All you need to know is the real thing. There was nothing genuine about Roe v. Wade and Doe v. Bolton. They were fake jurisprudence, a forgery, and a fraud slipped over on an unsuspecting public.

But you above all others know the real thing, the genuine article: love for both mother and unborn child that can’t be faked.

Why? Because it comes from the heart.
