Pro-abortion President Biden specializes in offensive statements, sure to antagonize

Pro-abortion President Joe Biden specializes in confusing—and sometimes deeply embarrassing—sympathetic audiences chosen for their support of the Democratic Party. For example, when he is reading off a teleprompter, in addition to the text, he will read the instructions known as the stage notes.

That happened yesterday when he was speaking to members of North America’s Building Trades Unions.

“Four more years, Biden said, followed immediately by “Pause.”

Other times Biden does things that are almost unimaginably antagonizing. He was in Florida on Tuesday with Nikki Fried, the pro-abortion Democratic candidate for governor running against pro-life Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis.

Fried was bashing DeSantis for signing a bill that protects unborn children after six weeks. She said

Then we come back here to the state of Florida where Ron DeSantis felt like he needed to run for president and so 15 weeks was not good enough. And then we had to go to six weeks.

Biden response? He made the Sign of the Cross!

No one has a clue why he chose that particular moment to do so but Brian Burch spoke for many:

“Biden’s decision to make the Sign of the Cross in support of abortion extremism is a despicable charade that attempts to co-opt a sacred practice in support of his new abortion religion,” Mr. Burch said. “His gesture openly mocks the Christian belief in the sanctity of life. There is no divine support for destroying the lives of innocent children, and he should know better.”

Burch angrily added, “Biden’s gesture suggests he is either terribly naive, or senile, or callously indifferent to the foundational beliefs of millions of Christians in America.”

Almost as if he anticipated something along these lines from President Biden, Gov. DeSantis said earlier on Tuesday

Now, [Biden is] coming down to try to support a constitutional amendment that will mandate abortion up until the moment of birth, that will eliminate parental consent for minors and that’s written in a way that’s intentionally designed to deceive voters,” DeSantis said. “So, all I can tell you is Floridians are not buying what Joe Biden is selling, and, in November, we’re going to play an instrumental role in sending him back to Delaware where he belongs.”

DeSantis was referring to Amendment 4, which, according to Mat Staver, “would enshrine abortion in the state constitution and make the Sunshine State a graveyard for the preborn with virtually no restrictions on abortion if voted on by 60% of Florida voters.”
