Less than one week left to stop a coercive abortion bill and protect religious liberty in Virginia!

Two coercive bills are on Governor Youngkin’s desk for the second time this year. Please use the VSHL action center to send your message to urge the Governor to veto these extremely harmful bills that would end lives, violate religious liberty, and undercut parental rights!

While the main focus of these bills is contraception, and VSHL does not take a position on contraception, we do oppose these bills because they can be used to force religious groups, businesses, or non-profit organizations that oppose abortion for ethical reasons to provide access to chemical abortion drugs.  The Supreme Court is currently deciding how chemical abortion drugs may be classified and distributed.  These bills may also have a secondary effect of undermining Virginia’s parental consent laws.

It is urgent that concerned citizens be heard on this issue before May 17. These bills raise fundamental life, liberty and parental rights issues. Please take action today to urge the Governor to use his veto!
