Every once in a while an email lands in my inbox that rocks my world.
That wonderful event occurred today, when I received a message that the preborn twins I had been praying for so earnestly had made their appearance in the world.
I wrote about these precious babies before. At that time, doctors were concerned that the babies would be born so prematurely they would not survive.
Medical professionals told the mother to confine herself to bedrest. After a time of tense waiting, the babies were born—healthy, happy, and whole.
Some caring individuals had thrown a beautiful baby shower for the mother and father of the twins. In the photos that followed, you can see the joy in the faces of the couple as they opened the many baby gifts that had been presented to them.
What a wondrous gift life is! Yes, this little family has faced many challenges, but those did not stop them from welcoming life. The parents took a leap of faith, and they have been rewarded with two incredible children.
I am overjoyed to celebrate this wondrous miracle with all those who prayed for them and offered them material and emotional support. This is an example of love in action—and an appropriate antidote to the culture of death.
