The August edition of National Right to Life News is in your inbox

Aug 2, 2024

By Dave Andrusko

As of Thursday, it’s all there—the latest in pro-life news from the “pro-life newspaper of record.” As I’ve said many times, the day we publish is the best day of the month for me.

Take your pick. Politics (“JD Vance’s autobiography is a ‘tear-drenched testament to the power of love and resilience’), legislation (“Iowa’s heartbeat abortion ban officially takes effect, thousands of babies likely to be saved”), education (with an emphasis on “Pro-life Perspective”), wonderful stories from Pregnancy Help Centers (“97% of pregnancy center clients are satisfied with their experience”), pro-abortion studies debunked—the list goes on.

We begin on Page One with two stories. First, good news from the Harvard/Harris poll: pro-life former President Donald Trump leads pro-abortion Vice President Kamala Harris 52%-48%. Our second story discusses why Harris has so richly earned the moniker pro-abortion zealot. You can see their records summarized on Page 6.

The first of two editorials is headlined “The Republican Party comes out of a four-day convention triumphant and united.” It was a great week with even the most devout Trump haters grudgingly conceding the party put on a great convention. And, of course, it took place just two days after an assassination attempt on Mr. Trump. He genuinely is a profile in courage.

August is “Make-a-Will” month. Amy Baker writes how you can take advantage of the opportunity to leave a lasting legacy by partnering with National Right to Life. Visit My Legacy Will to get started. For more information, go to www.mylegacywill.com/nrlc.

And that’s just the beginning. The stories of abortion survivors is so powerful it almost takes your breath away (“Abortion survivor shares powerful story of hope and forgiveness”).

And we can’t miss NRLC’s investment in the future (“2024 National Right to Life Academy, we are training tomorrow’s pro-life leaders today”) or the life-saving Safe Haven program (“Newborn Left at Fire Station Safe Haven Returns as a Thriving High School Graduate”).

All in all, a jam-packed 43-page issue that will buoy your hopes for a brighter future. Please do read it and pass it along to your pro-life family and friends.
