Tallahassee FL –This past Tuesday, the Lee County Commission passed 4-1, a resolution presented by Debbie Healy of Women Impacting the Nation, a coalition affiliate of “Do No Harm Florida.” This made the 6th county so far, in our effort, to oppose this deceptive and destructive amendment.
Last month, Lynda Bell, President of Florida Right to Life and Co-founder of “Do No Harm Florida” presented a resolution to the Liberty County commission. The resolution passed unanimously 5-0.
Keith Flaugh of Florida Citizens Alliance, also an affiliate of “Do No Harm Florida,” was the first to present and unanimously pass a resolution opposing Amendment 4. Keith’s great work on passing the first resolution was the catalyst that spurred on the others.
“We are so proud of our partners” stated Lynda Bell. “These resolutions are effective in informing the local counties and their residents of the deceptive, dangerous and vague amendment and why we must defeat it.”
Other counties that passed amendments include Gilchrist, Bradford, and Okaloosa.
We are thrilled with the work of our partners engaged in this battle. Working together, we will defeat this horrific, vague, and deceptive amendment that will legalize abortion through birth, remove parental rights, and subject Florida women to unsafe and unregulated abortions.
