Pro-Life Leader Sen. Dave Rader Targeted by Scurrilous, Dishonest Smear Campaign; Candidate Surveys Posted on Website

Oklahoma state Senator Dave Rader

A false, malicious, scurrilous television ad was aired in Tulsa Wednesday night attacking longtime pro-life leader Senator Dave Rader.

The duplicity of the television ad was stunning for its blatant falsehoods in attacking Senator Rader as he runs for reelection to his final term in the state Senate.

The ad, from a Democrat political consulting group called Campaign Technology Professionals, calls a bill co-sponsored by 22 senators “extreme” on abortion, with “no exceptions for rape or incest.” That claim is blatantly false, as one minute of research on the state legislature’s website makes crystal clear.

On page three of the 2022 law, HB 4327, are listed the exceptions, which are that: “The abortion is necessary to save the life of a pregnant woman in a medical emergency; or 2. The pregnancy is the result of rape, sexual assault, or incest…”

The ad further claims that “women in life-threatening situations are being denied care.”

To the extent that might be the case, it is because the abortion industry distorts the truth and misleads health-care professionals for political gain. Incendiary rhetoric and over-the-top exaggerations are a higher priority with the abortion industry than women’s health or babies’ lives.

Dave Rader is one of the most honorable people in Tulsa for his integrity, his decency, and his values. He and his wife were active supporters of pro-life efforts in Oklahoma decades before he ever ran for public office. He is currently the Republican Caucus Chairman, the third most important position in the Oklahoma Senate.

If pro-abortion Democrats are attacking Dave Rader with a dishonest smear campaign, they’re probably attacking other pro-life Republicans with the same falsehoods. Please be alert to the scam, and let others know, as well.
